I thought that I was getting back on track with my work. I thought that I was coming out of my rut I was in with not doing my work when it needed to be done. I was doing well for a while. Until this past week. I was starting off pretty well, getting all my work done. Then by the time Thursday came around, I got right back to my old ways.
We didn’t have class this past Thursday. Dr. J went to New York for a convention, and I had the whole day to myself. I planned on doing all of the work that I needed to get done on Thursday. I was going to make more calls; I was going to get more calls done for my Professional Communication class. I was also going to get other homework from other classes done. But you know when you have a weekend all planned out and you have things you want to get done on that weekday? You know when you wake up and you just want to sit on the couch and watch some TV, and you tell yourself it will only be maybe an hour of relaxation? That was what I said. And you know what I did? I stayed on my couch all day long.
Who can blame me though? I never get a full day off anymore. I’m always at school or at work. The only time I get a day off is when I’m sick, but those days aren’t the same as the ones that are handed to you. So my plans of getting all my work done went away as I sat on the couch and watched my shows.
It happens to everyone. So when it happens to you, don’t feel bad about it. Even though you may feel bad about how much you didn’t do on your day off, it happens to everyone. All you have to know is that you will get your work done eventually. Just as long as you get it done, that’s all the matters.
